DIRECTIONS TO HABITAT
From Rapid City and points west:
Driving I-90 East, take Exit 192 in Murdo for U.S. 83 South. Go through the town of White River, where the speed limit drops to 35 MPH. At the junction with U.S. 18 (about 42 miles south of I-90), take a left heading east. Go through the stop light, and then make a right onto U.S. 83 South at the four-way stop. The sign says to Valentine, Nebraska.
Go south on 83 until you reach the middle school, which is the last big building on the right before heading out of town. Make a right at the middle school, heading west on Omaha Street. Continue west on Omaha, passing the water tower, until you reach the only left turn at a white dumpster that says No Parking. Turn left onto the gravel road, which leads a third of a mile to the Habitat office. The office and dorms are in the big white building in the middle of the campus.
From Sioux Falls and points east:
Driving I-90 West, take Exit 226 in Presho for U.S. 183 South. Drive south for about 36 miles until reaching the junction with U.S. 18. Make a right onto 18 West. Go about 34 miles on 18 West until you reach the four-way stop at U.S. 83 South. Follow the directions from above to the Habitat office.
From Pierre and points north:
Take U.S. 83 South to I-90 West. Follow the interstate for 20 miles to Exit 192 in Murdo. Follow the Rapid City directions from above to the Habitat office.
From Valentine and points south:
Take U.S. 83 North out of Valentine. Its a 30-mile trip along this road to Mission. Youll pass the casino and the wind turbine at the state line. When coming down the hill into Mission, youll see the middle school on the left, the first big building in town. Make a left just past the middle school onto Omaha Street going west. Continue west on Omaha, passing the water tower, until you reach the only left turn at a white dumpster that says No Parking.
